Shift & Share • WorkshopBank
Shift & Share • WorkshopBank is a team reflection exercise for reflection and learning: it helps participants reflect on experience and turn observations into learning.
How to run it
- Identify 3-7 presenters in advance. Each presenter should have something concrete to share: a new practice, a project update, a tool, an innovation, or a solution they have tested.
- Brief presenters before the session. Each presentation must fit within 10 minutes. Run a rehearsal if possible, as most people underestimate how tight 10 minutes is.
- Set up stations around the room, spaced far enough apart to reduce noise interference. Each station should have a flip chart, a small table or display area, and enough room for a group to gather comfortably.
- Divide the remaining participants into the same number of small groups as there are stations. For example, if you have 5 presenters, create 5 groups of roughly equal size.
- Assign each group a starting station and prepare a rotation schedule. Post the schedule visibly or hand it to each group.

Origin unverified
- Where we observed it: The strongest current observations come from WorkshopBank; aggregators are listed as additional observations, not origin proof. (1 source observed, including WorkshopBank.)
- What that means: we track where an exercise has been observed in public sources. We do not claim to know who created it, or how popular it is.
- No efficacy claims: appearing in this library is not a claim that the exercise is proven effective. Facilitator judgment and context decide whether it works for a given room.
