Evolved Action
The task of the next person in the circle is to copy exactly the actions and sounds of the person before them.
How to run it
- Arrange everyone so that they are in a large circle.
- The person that starts the icebreaker will perform an action combined with a sound or statement. For instance, they could jog on the spot and hum the national anthem.
- The task of the next person in the circle is to copy exactly the actions and sounds of the person before them.
- The actions continue around the circle until it reaches the end or at a point when the trainer feels it has run its course.
- The point of the icebreaker is to demonstrate how we are all different and even what seems like a basic action can be interpreted differently by others and how things evolve through interpretation and personal difference.
- Of course the icebreaker is also a lot of fun and allows participants to relax, have fun and then review the serious points that follow.
