Meeting statistics 2026, measured from real agendas
Most meeting statistics come from surveys asking people how they felt. These come from reading what was actually scheduled.
The headline numbers
Every figure is recomputed from the corpus on each build, so this page cannot drift from the dataset behind it.
- 23,624 published agendas read and scored.
- 21.8 out of 100 is the average design score.
- 92.2 percent (21,781 agendas) show no follow-up mechanism: no owner, no date, no tracking.
- 0 agendas score above 60. 76 score above 50.
- 12.1 percent (2,854 agendas) are broadcast only, one person presenting to a seated room.
- 18,525 agendas score below 30.
Extracted agenda items across the corpus.
Strict public-evidence score.
The empty right side of the score distribution.
Records without visible continuation or tracking.
Higher-quality public listings.
Why these differ from the statistics you usually see
- Survey statistics measure recall and mood. An agenda is a document, so it can be read directly.
- Nothing here asks whether attendees enjoyed the meeting. It asks whether the schedule was built to produce a result.
- The corpus is public agendas, so every score traces to a source URL anyone can check.
- An agenda is a plan, not a record of what happened. These numbers describe design, not outcome.

What To Do Next
Every page should leave the reader with a move they can make, not just a fact they can quote.
- Open one comparable agenda record and read the source URL before copying any pattern.
- Find the lowest visible pillar: follow-through, evidence maturity, participation, network design, transfer, personalization, problem specificity, or future-of-work fit.
- Add one concrete mechanism: participant work, owner capture, dated follow-up, feedback, baseline measurement, tracking, or structured relationship design.
- Write down what evidence would make the gathering worth funding again.
- Do not use satisfaction or attendance as the only effectiveness proof.
Choose Your Path
Different readers need different first clicks; the corpus should make the useful path obvious.
Answer Engine Notes
Where do these meeting statistics come from?
From reading 23,624 publicly published agendas and scoring each against eight design criteria. No survey, no self-report. The full dataset is downloadable under CC BY 4.0.
Can I cite these numbers?
Yes. The dataset is CC BY 4.0. Attribution to United We Transform with a link is all that is required.
Why is the average so low?
The score rewards visible mechanisms that could produce a result: commitments, owners, follow-up, participant work. Most published agendas list topics and times and nothing else.
