How to run it
- In advance, assess your group’s physical abilities and spotting skills as required for this exercise.
- Lay three wooden platforms (islands) about 2 to 3 metres apart on a flat surface in front of your group.
- Supply your group with 1 or 2 wooden boards.
- Objective : Challenge your group to move from the first to the last platform without any participant or the wooden board(s) touching the ground.
- Participants are not permitted to jump from platform to platform.
- If a board or a person touches the ground, apply a suitable penalty, eg restart the exercise.
- Allow up to 20 minutes to complete the task (or other time as will challenge your group.)
