Fun Icebreaker Game for Group Connections - Have You Ever?
Fun Icebreaker Game for Group Connections - Have You Ever? is a relationship mapping exercise that helps participants build useful connections and understand how people, roles, or ideas relate.
How to run it
- Form a circle, with each person standing on a spot (or sitting in a chair.)
- Move yourself to stand in the centre of the circle (you are without a seat).
- Ask a question that starts with “HAVE YOU EVER…?” for example “… BEEN TO THAILAND?”
- Everyone in the circle who can answer ‘Yes’ to the question may choose to leave their spot, and attempt to fill a vacant spot elsewhere in the circle.
- Anyone leaving their spot cannot move into the spot of their immediate left or right neighbours.
- The person asking the question will also attempt to fill a spot as it becomes vacant.
- Once every vacant spot has been filled, the person without a spot will ask the next “HAVE YOU EVER…?” question.
- If someone cannot think of a question, or simply does not want to be in the centre, they may invite a volunteer to swap roles with them.
