How to run it

  1. Instruct one person to commit to ‘spotting’ their partner’s movements at all times.
  2. Instruct the ‘spotter’ to remain ready and behind their partner, no matter where they move.
  3. Without notice, invite the walker to stop walking and then lean backwards on several occasions.
  4. Instruct the walker to only lean backwards from a stationary/stopped position.
  5. Alert the walking/leaning partner to be prepared to support oneself at all times.
  6. Ask partners to swap roles every 30 seconds.
  7. Walk & Lean Active trust-building game combining movement with partner support.
  8. Walk & Lean is an active trust-building game that teaches people to trust gradually whilst staying alert and responsive to their partner’s needs.
  9. Participants will develop growing confidence in both giving and receiving support, not to mention emotional development.
