# Exercises for Commitments & Accountability Rituals

Choose an exercise for agreeing specific actions, working commitments or follow-up. Compare four formats for action plans, experiments, group agreements and personal commitments.

Every activity here asks participants to create, state or revisit a specific action or working commitment as part of the main task. Some establish group norms; others assign owners, dates and a later progress check.

## Choose a commitment format

Choose the kind of commitment you need: a deliverable with a date, a team experiment, an observable working agreement or a personal action during the session.

### [Who What When Action Plan](https://unitedwetransform.com/exercises/who-what-when-how-to-guarantee-action-after-every-workshop-or-meeting-workshopbank/)

**15 minutes; 4 to 24 people.** Close a working session with named actions, deliverables, dates and a progress check.

Use the 15-minute close when implementation is expected. A support-only role or pass is valid.

### [Keep Problem Try (KPT) Retrospective](https://unitedwetransform.com/exercises/keep-problem-try-kpt-activity/)

**45 minutes; 4 to 24 people.** Turn a recent delivery cycle into one to three scoped experiments with owners and review dates.

Requires shared work context and permission to adjust processes. It does not replace deep conflict resolution or strategic replanning.

### [Code of Conduct Mind Map](https://unitedwetransform.com/exercises/code-of-conduct/)

**35 minutes; 4 to 24 people.** Agree observable behaviors and a shared way to signal breaches before collaboration begins.

Use for a kickoff or workshop with no effective existing agreement. This is a 35-minute group norm-setting process.

### [Wants and Wills](https://unitedwetransform.com/exercises/wants-and-wills/)

**15 minutes; 4 to 24 people.** Connect each session goal with a concrete personal action during the workshop.

Posting and reading cards are optional; this 15-minute opener does not itself schedule a later review.

These are UWT selection suggestions based on the linked run sheets. Read each exercise's sources, adaptations and participation choices before running it.
