# Customer summit / advisory board

A customer summit that is really a roadmap broadcast wastes the rarest asset a company has: customers in a room together. This template makes the customers the content: their problems, their patterns, their priorities, with the roadmap responding rather than leading.

Who: Customer advisory boards and user summits, 15 to 300 people.
Duration: 1 day

## Agenda

- 9:00 | Customer openers: each account shares its current top problem in small groups: The day starts from customer reality, not company slides.
- 10:00 | Pattern mapping: problems clustered live; customers vote the top three: Customers see they are not alone, and the vendor gets ranked truth.
- 11:00 | Roadmap in response: the company presents plans against the voted problems: The same roadmap lands differently when it answers the room's own ranking.
- 12:00 | Matched lunch: customers seated by shared problem, product leads distributed: Peer connection is half the value of any summit; engineer it.
- 13:00 | Co-design clinics: top three problems worked in mixed customer-and-builder groups: The strongest signal a summit can produce: joint work on real problems.
- 15:00 | Commitment exchange: the company commits actions with dates; customers commit pilots and feedback: Two-way commitments make the relationship concrete.
- 16:00 | Close: the write-up promise, the 60-day report-back, and next summit's accountability review: Every summit opens by reviewing the last one's commitments; say so now.

## Design notes

- Let customers set the ranking before any roadmap is shown.
- Run co-design clinics with builders in the room; it beats any feedback survey.
- Commit both ways with dates, and open the next summit by reviewing them.

These are design recommendations informed by published agenda evidence, not measured outcome claims.
